Our exhibit booth was held in customs for days therefore we were without for a conference in Brighton. We contacted Genie and within less than a day they printed 2 banner stands for us and a stand-up piece for our table. The quality of the work is outstanding and their quick turnaround was truly appreciated. Pricing was very reasonable especially given the urgency of our need. We are very happy we found Genie and they took on our project, without hesitation I might add. If ever in Brighton and you need quality, professional services by a team of very friendly people, Genie is your place to go!

If you're looking to promote something of your own, be it a party or a workshop, Genie is a great place to get your printing done at a very reasonable price. Everything from leaflet, business cards, flyers, posters, business cards and even magazines can be done here.
I've ordered one of their packages before: 5000 A6 flyers and 250 A3 posters for £135 with free delivery. It was a very quick turnaround and very good quality. They also offer flyer design services from just £25 a low volume business cards, get as little as 10 printed!

Very helpful emails but when I got some text that looked jagged and blurry was met with very a unhelpful manager. Was simply after an explanation as to why other printhouses had printed the same but smooth and all I got was an insistence that material was perfect and that I wasn't entitled to a refund (that I hadn't asked for).

I used Genie to get some A5 flyers printed and was appalled with the results. The flyers had random white lines across the image, the colours looked grubby and patchy with some areas completely burnt out. When I asked for a refund, Laura, the manager, flatly refused and tried to blame me for the poor printing quality. After some time she admitted the lines on the image was her error but still would not agree to a refund and instead she offered to print them out again but we still needed to pay the cost price for the reprint ! I printed the flyers out on my basic printer at home and they look 100 times better than the totally unprofessional service from Genie. I am currently liaising with Trading Standards to obtain a full refund and would strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for your printing.

It's a pity to see that the above customer feels the need to refer to Trading Standards regarding their order, as we have tried our best to resolve this very simple issue with them, which does not include any error on our part. We are well aware of the procedures and what is classified as fair and just, and as a note to the customer we do have a record of our conversations and emails which do show us attempting to be helpful and fair in any way that we can.
The quality of this job was mainly affected by the poor quality of a photograph used within their artwork, which the customer supplied. When the customer received the prints and were not satisfied with them we offered two fair options for them, including a free reprint (using the same file) which we did not recommend as the printed results would come out the same as the first batch, or alternatively we offered them the option to reprint the file using a new photograph (and offered a lot of advice on how to achieve a better finish) for an extremely low price of a few pounds simply to cover our materials.
Unfortunately the customer refused both options, and as we have indeed provided acceptable goods given the image we were working with (which does incidentally not meet the criteria needed to achieve a perfect finish - details of which are available on our website or can be emailed / discussed with any of our staff).
At Genie we of course want our customers to be happy with their goods, but when artwork is provided by the customer it is their responsibility to ensure it is suitable for print. I would advise and encourage all customers to call or speak to any member of our team who are happy to advise and explain how to set your artwork. - Jane W.London01027 Jun 2012
WARNING.....I unfortunately experienced a very bad service from Genie. After agreeing the specification of the print by phone and e mail, my flyers arrived and were the wrong type of paper, not what i had ordered. After calling them to get them re-printed due to their error, they told me that despite what had been agreed on e mail, the terms and conditions of the spec are listed on the WEBSITE and that is what i had been sent. They refused to accept the point that i had requested something different on e mail and paid over the phone - and that i had not ordered through the website so the paper spec on their website is not relevant!!! I would not recommend this company, the prices are cheap for a reason............

All our products and the finishes that they have are clearly listed and detailed on our website so are easily available for public viewing. This particular customer has ordered the same flyer type with us multiple times, having the same size and card weight which has always remained the same, (it hasn't changed since we opened 6 years ago). At Genie we do our best to advise our customers of the best products to suit their purposes should they ask for help with something, but it was (perhaps mistakenly) presumed that this regular customer would have been aware of the finish of the flyers as they had ordered the same thing approx 10 times with us previously...
Unfortunately as it is the customers responsibility to ensure that the product they order is correct and suitable for their needs before placing the order we are unable to provide a reprint for this job, which we would not feel is unreasonable. We offer free sample packs to all our customers should they wish to clarify which paper and card weights would be suitable for them.
It is also worth mentioning that after printing this customer did notice an error in their artwork (a fault of their own) which caused them to ask for a reprint in the first instance. - tim h.Leeds, West Yorkshire01026 May 2010
You get what you pay for here. They print on poor quality CHEAP paper. I would not recommend using them for anything. And the review below seems very biased.....perhaps written by Genie Design and Print Services?!

Thank you for your comment, we use a wide variety of papers depending on our customers budgets. This way we can provide a huge range of products at the most competitive prices. We use bright white sheets with smooth surfaces to ensure consistent precision printing.

I ordered 'stickers' from these guys but received nothing more than poor quality paper labels. If it had been made clearer on their website that i was buying labels rather than what people of our generation would describe as 'stickers' i.e something that can be put on a car/surfboard/skateboard without disintegrating in the rain then i wouldn't have made the mistake that i did. I could have printed what i received myself at home for a fraction of the cost at the same quality. Very disappointing and definitely won't be using again.

Do ask for samples if you are new to the printing world, we would happily send them out via first class post for next day delivery. You can also pop into our store to meet the friendly team and receive useful info regarding your order.
